Mad Living
Overview
Mad Living is a Costa Rican furniture manufacturer and interior design firm — their pieces are in houses, hotels, restaurants and shops across the country, and they carry international lines like Blu Dot, Loll Designs, Stokke and Areaware.
The furniture always looked good on camera. But the feed stopped at the finished piece — the polished shot, the styled corner — and left out everything that made those pieces worth the price: the craft, the process, and the people building them. It read like a catalog, and a catalog sells furniture on looks. We wanted it to sell on trust.
So we built the social strategy and content plan to widen the story. We took the feed into the workshop: the making, the installations, the everyday work of designing and building. And we put the owners in it — their stories, the thinking behind each piece — so the brand reads as the people behind it, not just the product in front of you.
The real shift wasn't in the numbers — it was in how people responded. Engagement climbed, but the telling part was the messages: people started writing to the owners about the story behind the brand, saying they'd had no idea any of it was there. The workshop, the craft, the people building each piece — none of it had ever reached them before. Almost overnight, Mad Living stopped reading as just another furniture store and started feeling like what it actually is: a real place, made by real people, with a story worth knowing.
