About OLA

Every brand runs on two engines: creativity and strategy. We built OLA with one of each.

Kristel Sauter

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

A graphic design graduate from The Graphic Design School in Australia and an advertising graduate from Universidad Latina whose lettering has run on brands like H&M, Adidas, Pandora and Cemaco. She trained in the agency world before this — sharpening her craft at Havas Tribu and Wookie Colectivo in San José, working on campaigns for demanding brands where the work is fast, the standards are high, and "good enough" doesn't ship. She brought that bar with her, and it shows in everything we make.

She leads the look of it all — the photography, the design, the overall feel — and cuts the video and reels herself, so nothing leaves the studio she hasn't shaped by hand.

On the side she runs The Type Bar, a lettering studio for people who want it done by hand, letter by letter, the way it's meant to be.

STRATEGY DIRECTOR

An MBA graduate from Mannheim Business School in Germany who spent a decade running restaurants, bars, gyms and hotels in Costa Rica before this. He's opened places, staffed them, filled them on the slow nights and sweated the same payroll you do — so when he talks about what makes a business work, it's not theory. Most recently he was General Manager of House of Somos in Santa Teresa. He handles strategy and shoots much of the content, which means the work is built by someone who's actually sat in the owner's chair.

Alongside OLA, he also runs Costa Rica Decoded, a media brand about relocation, real estate, and life in Costa Rica. Growing his own audience keeps him in the same content, branding, and marketing challenges his clients face every day — so he's not advising from the outside. He's in it too.

Just the
two of us

You deal directly with the people doing the work. No handoffs.

In it
with you

We care about your growth as much as you do.

We’ve
run this

The advice comes from having made the calls, not studied them.

roots

We live and work where our clients do.
